Nah. Getting the Japanese version to finally play without glitches and freezings is good for me. Thanks for offering though.

One more question... are you playing on a real Genesis or on an emulator?
3-1 and 3-2 have the Thriller music in REV 00 when you do the dance sequence. The Dance sequence is a screen-zapper move done by holding down A at full Health until Michael starts dancing.

The music exists in REV 00 of the carts. I want to see if the Thriller music is removed from the Rev 01 carts or is just disabled.

Baloo, I finally found the dance sequence you were talking about. To be honest with you, there's going to be too much time involved to try and figure out the answer to your question.

If you want any other codes for that game, let me know.

Alright, thanks anyway. I do have another code though for a different game.

A code to go to Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic 2? The one I found online didn't work right for some reason.

There are 2 versions of Sonic 2. Are you using an emulator, or a real Genesis/Game Genie?

OK, here's how we can find out which version you have...

Below are 2 "official" Game Genie codes. Find out which code works on your cartridge and that will tell us which version you have.

    SATA-DATJ = Rings worth 8 (version = 00)

    SAST-DA1A = Rings worth 8 (version = 01)

Can I ask what the difference is? Is it just the original and pack-in ("not for resale" stickered) versions, or did they make changes somewhere?

I think it's just original and pack-in versions.

I've never seen the Hidden Palace Zone before today. Anyways, I made codes for both versions, so if anyone wants the code for the other version, let me know (of course it'll be on my website before too long).

    Sonic 2

These codes are for version (REV01)...

    ACLA-ATCY
Access the "Hidden Palace Zone". Go to the level select
screen and pick "Emerald Hill Act 1" and press start. It's
best to use the "Enable debugger" code (below) with this code
and press "B" as soon as you start to fall. This way you
    can explore the level.

    AE7T-AAE2
Enable debugger. When the game starts, Press B, then
press A to cycle through all the different items in the
game, and press C to place that item on the screen.
Press B again to start playing on your newly created
    level.

    =========================

I assume everyone knows how to get to the level select screen?

The "Debugger" code will work on any level.

Let me know if the codes work for you.
