Puyo Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs

The NBA season is heating up, and while today's game is a great display of awesome athleticism, nothing compares to the great rivalries of the '80s and '90s, when Jordan's Bulls locked horns with Stockton's Utah Jazz, and Magic's Lakers marked the high point of the post season with their battles against Bird's Celtics. The Genesis is a great place to relive those great games, and EA's Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs tweaks an already solid formula for some great gameplay. Read our full review and get on the court!

A very nice review of a game that goes way back with me. I used to prefer this game over NBA JAM. Excellent teams, and a close simulation of the sport. I enjoyed bieng able to tweak rosters/create teams, and especially the full 4 round playoff mode with the 5-7-7-7 game series format, even though I was never able to get very far.

Bulls vs Blazers is another example of a game aging badly. There have been much better, quicker playing Basketball sims released since(NBA Live 95/97/98), and The game is very, very slow, and the controlls can get a little frustrating when nothing is going your way on offense.

It seems like Lakers vs Celtics has more fluid gameplay for some reason. Ive never played Bulls Vs Lakers but I will check it out soon.
I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

I remember playing this game and the signature moves. From Jordan's 360 to Ewings "utep, two step"
