Default What Genesis games have you been playing lately?

I had a good time playing these last couple of days.

Here's what I've been playing lately:

Road Rash 3 (I like the variety of weapons and being able to keep them)
Super Street Fighter 2 (I love this one on one fighter)
Blades of Vengeance (this adventure game is a work of art)
Legend of Galahad (very cool hack 'n slash adventure game with minor rpg elements)
Elemental Master (great action game with cool music)
Ms. Pacman (can't go wrong with this arcade classic)
Joe & Mac (a beautiful translation of Caveman Ninja)
Second Samurai (definitely more enjoyable once you get the hang of it)
    Babies...the unfortunate by-product of a good time.

King Colossus (classy action adventure with breath-taking music)

Dangerous Seed (excellent shmup by Namco)
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

I picked up Cyberball the other day and tried it out. Not impressed thus far. Nothing else on the Genny. Been playing a lot of TurboGrafx lately.

    Pier Solar
also Alien Soldier, Streets of Rage 1, Marvel Land, and Virtual Bart

Is blades of Vengeance actually any good? I've had it for a while but the camera drives me so crazy that I haven't really given it a chance.

    Mercs
    Midnight Resistance
    Castlevania Bloodlines

How about another question? Are you playing these on consoles? Or as Roms?

Warsong, basically the only old games I can play are rpg's. I feel as games progress more and more, I find myself getting bored of games I used to love like Streets of Rage, Street Fighter, Golden Axe.

Although I don't mind a lot of nes games, last summer I went back and finished many games that I found hard as a kid, eventually doing no death completions of games like Ninja Gaiden 1-3, TMNT.

Forgot to mention Altered Beast! I actually gave it something of a real chance this time and I was surprised by the fun I had.

Aside of the camera it's surprisingly well made! Not played it enough yet to really give a final verdict about its qualities (or lack thereof).

Pitfall - This is a pretty solid platforming game. The low standing enemies are a little unfair but I guess there is a little bit of unfairness in all platformers.

Good question haha. I've been playing a lot of roms only because that's how I test out games I want to buy, but otherwise I need real hardware to fully enjoy a game.

Okay I'll have to give it another try then. I've mostly tried it 2-player, where the camera is even worse than single player

I've been trying the roms of a bunch of shmups recently to see what I still want to add to my collection.

Whip-Rush, Sol-Deace and Twin Hawk were three I spent some time with.

Pier Solar - nonstop, I'm obsessed with how awesome this game is. Though I need to take breaks from RPGing, so I've also been playing Skitchin' in between my Pier Solar sessions. Great game too, I like it better than the Road Rash games.
