I don't know who's worse, the guy listing stuff on ebay claiming that it's new when it's not or the power seller with 5000+ feedback that snipes auctions. I've been watching quite a few auctions as of late and looking at the bid progression. What I see are 100-200 feedback ebay users bidding on a system lot with 20 some games and after 20+ bids of reasonable amounts, along comes the 5000+ power seller in the last 5 seconds and snipes the auction only to part out the games and re-list for profit. I've seen this happen in 10 auctions within the last few weeks. It's just a shame that the people biding just to get a system and some games (and actually play them) get outbid by someone whose LIFE is based on knowing exactly what the going rate is for resale, hence the power seller bids $450 on a system with some games knowing that breaking up the lot will net them a $50 profit over the course of weeks, lol. It's laughable at best. I wish ebay still showed user names so that they could be contacted. With that said, I think I'll email the seller of that ridiculously priced genny. Maybe he'll wise up, quit paying ebay fee's on items that don't sell, and instead save up enough money to move out of his aunt's basement......who knows.

    This seller sold this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220714326450

The buyer with -0- feedback let this positive feedback for the seller..."It's an awesome piece of history factory sealed like buried treasure "

And he did not even take 10 seconds to leave the guy his first positive feedback? Something sounds fishy . LOL

... Why is Rpgarcana such a surprise? Does nobody remember when he was actually a member here and the rest of us told him he was a parasite on the gaming community? I linked to that thread on page 1 and I even quoted 3 of the best posts!

*sigh*, the things I do here that go unnoticed...

You know when I was looking for a Sega Genesis for my cousin I did come across a mint Model 1 HD Graphics model in the exact same box as this listing. Though it was an auction and I lost it. So maybe that is the correct box, or maybe he bought that same Model 1 I was looking at.

Don't worry. I noticed and read all the posts a few days ago and I wasn't even registered when the topic was opened.

Yeah it's been going on forever. It's the only way they can keep having games to sell along with raiding yard sales, flea markets and craigslist.

It's a shame for collectors though and it forces you to have to try and outsnipe them if you want the item. You win some and you lose some.

Gotta find inventory some way. Small sellers of my kind don't have suppliers or a warehouse to keep stock in. If there's a dry spell of local deals for profiting on we're hosed.

Difference is we don't lie about it. Heck I'd mention in an ad if I felt something was awesome enough a retro game store owner might want it.
