    For the Saturn...
$1,100 for a sealed Daytona CCE Netlink edition
$350 for Sega Screams Vol. 2

I've bought many NeoGeo & Saturn games in the $100-200 range but the two games above are the most I've paid for non-beta titles.

For a single game? Hmm... Not counting retail purchases, probably a US Metal Slug 3 MVS cart, which was $65, roughly. I tend to buy stuff in lots, seldom as single purchases. If I include lots, then somewhere over $200.

That Metal Slug 3 is in damned good shape considering most arcade hardware gets run into the ground. Quite happy with it. I should get Metal Slug 1 next...

$80 for Dragon Force, used, last year
Approximately $80 each (forget the exact amount) for Border Down LE, Trigger Heart Exelica LE, and Under Defeat LE, new, at time of release
$80 for Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition (PS3), new, at time of release
$65ish each for Arc the Lad Collection, Street Fighter Zero 3 (Saturn), Dragon Slayer (Turbo CD), all used

I think those are the only games I've paid more than $60 for. I have other games that are worth more than that, but I didn't pay that much. I didn't own an N64 at the time so I never experienced the joys of that system's retail pricing.

Some of those prices are insane, I wish I had that kind of money to throw around.

Most I've paid is $75 for a used, but perfect condition Revelations: Persona for PS1.

What do you want me to say?
Zebbe spent $1500 on a game; your $184 is pocket change.

I would go on a mad shopping spree for the following games if I had $1000:

    Battle Garegga
    Astra Superstars
    Super Tempo
    Hyper Duel
    Blast Wind
    Psychic Killer Taromaru

With $1000 I would definitely be able to barely afford all these, and I'm not kidding.

The most I've paid for games (Not counting retail, because I usually don't remember that stuff and would do trade-ins and whatnot to get the price down, and usually I just don't remember the price.)

    1. Guardian Heroes - $80 for this one, ended up being very disappointed with the gameplay and sold it for $80 a week or two later.

    2. Burning Rangers - $60 This is quite possible one of the BEST games I've played for the value of my money. I played the everloving crap out of this game (Like NiGHTS) and this definitely put Saturn as my favorite system. The game is just so fantastic!

    3. Saturn Bomberman - $50 Everyone raves about this game and I had never played a Bomberman title before, and since I got it for relatively cheaper than what it goes for ($80 or 90) I decided to pick it up. Fun little game, but I feel that it gets really fun with the most people.

    4. Mega Man V (Game Boy) - $50 Picked this one up in store credit from working at a video game store (I didn't work for cash when I worked there) but it's still a pretty substantial amount for a cart-only game especially. Fantastic Mega Man and Game Boy game though, and still the only Mega Man game I've played all the way through. The power-ups were great and the bosses challenging, but the entire game wasn't overly frustrating.

    4. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - $40 - Got this from eBay right after the AVGN reviewed it (And a few months before MJ Died) so I didn't totally pay out the ass for it, but the condition it came in was pretty terrible, which kind of sucked. Water damage on the insert and the manual was a bit beat up. But I didn't care because I'm not a collector, still ended up playing the hell out of the game anyway!
Bummer to see you didn't like Guardian Heroes as well, but I did like that you appreciated Burning Rangers, that game was fun!

The reason it never made my list was because I got it as a disc-only purchase for $50, sold it, then rebought the game later from Japan. The Japanese version only cost me $15, which was certainly a relief given its worth in the States.
