Genesis Region Free SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis

    Hallo Retro Gamers!!!!

Modded SEGA Mega Drive BOXED with a lot of extras, so check it out!!!

    ebay link

    Further details:
Region Free SEGA Mega Drive MK1.

Professionally refurbished and modded European console.
Cleaned internally (using Electronic Contacts Spray to all contacts and high pressured air) and externally.
Pictures shows the exact console you are bidding on, so take a good look at them.
The console has two switches to change output TV signal between 50 and 60 Hz and Region/Language between ENGlish and JAPanese.
Can be connected to ANY TV using ONLY an RGB SCART cable (included).
Cartridge slot has been widened in order to fit all cartridge types.
The console is Region Free, which means that you can play games from ALL regions (European, American, Asian, Japanese, Russian, Unofficial...).
Works with Sega CD (modding does not affect connectivity).
All consoles have been tested in 6-7 straight hours of game play, using 2 different controllers (an original SEGA 3 button and a Quickshot 6 button controller).
Console will be packed with bubble wrap, in order to arrive safely to you.

With the console you will get:

-1x RGB Scart cable w/ stereo sound [brand new]
-2x 3rd party High Quality 6button controlers [brand new]
-1x Original AC Adapter/ Wall Charger (Euro) [used]
-1x Original Card box w/ wear (see photos) (no manuals included)
-1x game of my choice from my collection (cartidge only)

    Thank you for your time!!!

You are very lucky to be able to sell these modded consoles. Ebay Australia would remove the items quicker than you can blink.
Thank you for donating to the Sega 16 bit manuals!

    Awesome.
    Myself I'm originally from Ithaki.

So just to confirm; that $23 postage cost for that MD1 will be for shipping via registered mail?

Interesting...I wonder why it only works with RGB SCART?

Because the systems doesn't have the proper crystal for NTSC (60hz) so using the Scart will use RGB which doesn't rely on the frequency of the sub-carrier. That shipping is pricey, I just sent a Megadrive 2 do someone over seas and it didn't cost $50 maybe lower the price on the shipping a bit will entice more people.

Wow! Finally sold after all of these weeks of posting it and re-posting it.

The buyer got lucky, you can't really beat that price.

True that. I ended up not going for it since I believe it would cost me around $100 to use this console in the US (cost of power transformer + SCART to HDMI adapter). Congrats, feretros!

I know that the shipping is a little high, but it is expensivre to send abrode from Greece.
Greek Postal Service, is not the chippest unfortunatelly.
For sending a 4 KG package (the auction's content) to USA from Greece with registered air mail, it will cost 40 EUROS!!!
so 50 US$ is ok if you do the math.
