I actually didn't notice any differences other than the side-bar when I was a kid, but it is quite noticeable to me these days; the differences are especially noticeable on an emulator.

I don't think I've ever played the MD/Gen port, but that's good information to know. I'll stick with the SNES version.

I forgot about the no flamethrower thing. That's a deal breaker haha.

For me this game is completely overrated( perhaps due the Konami pedigree?) Even playing with my friends i found the game to be a bit boring.

Snes fanboys can have this one. There are so much better co-op games for the Mega Drive, like Gain Ground, General Chaos, Gauntlet IV...

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is *a lot* more fun than any of these.

I know I'm not generally one for adventure games(but they're a lot more tolerable without random battles), but on top of the regular game, Gauntlet IV has an alternate adventure mode.

When the alt mode gives a game that much more substance, I'd say the game in question is leagues beyond most of what it can be compared to.

It does deserve some credit for the number of references to 1950s-1960s sci-fi.

A game I enjoyed back then and now I know I have to play on my SNES to get the better of it.
    Thanks for the heads-up, people!
