    Thumbs down Lazy Ass Sellers

Okay, so I'm gonna rant for a little bit on this subject. I sell on eBay as well as local on CL and I have never sold anything that wasn't cleaned and presentable. However, I have bought many things off of eBay and CL and they look like shit and the sellers rarely budge on price because of it. I have walked away from deal more often than not because I'm tired of dealing with people who want a premium and they can't even take the time to make the item presentable. Am I the only one who takes pride in selling things? I mean DAMN! How hard is it to take a rag and wipe something off? Case in point:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEGA-Genesis...item35cdc18d09

    And this shit:

    http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/vgm/4125430466.html

    Okay....rant over. thanks for listening

#1 the price for that Sega Genesis joystick is crazy and #2 I agree with you on people trying to sell dirty products. You would think with the amount of money he is asking he would at least take the time to wipe it down with Windex.

Believe it or not some of these people are substance abusers. A dope fiend will sell a piece of shit if he could. Other than that its a combination of laziness, complacency, and simply not caring.

    LOL,
I laughed out loud at that dust covered joystick.

I once bought a Turbo stick on ebay.
It was looking good in the picture but when I received it, it did not actually work and there was dead bed bugs inside it when I opened it.

That Ebay listing is pretty damn funny. The lighting and all that isn't perfect but well good enough for Ebay and has all the HTML crap to boot and yet he couldn't even try to clean it up at all. Granted I'm pretty lazy but I like to make money on Ebay and that won't cut it. I hope all the other sellers on Ebay write listings like that. Always goog for my business.

Now that I think about it, the eBay sellers name is hoardershoard. Enough said. It's just ridiculous, but it makes me feel better to know that there are others out there who take pride in what they sell.

Dead bugs?! That's downright disgusting. If it had those in it, imagine what the place it came from looked like.

Absolutely shameless dust, dirt, and wear. The idea of hoarding makes me claustrophobic and germophobic. I get so OCD about dust and grime in my place. If I could just use my Extendo-Swiffer Duster 3000 to dust those things through my laptop screen... Ugh, now I have to clean my screen from just looking at those!

Nice 20" Sony CRT TV though. Stereo speakers too.

    Reviews in the pipeline:
    Choplifter (Master System and SG-1000)
Ys: The Vanished Omens with FM Sound Patch!

I agree, hoarding is gross. You lost me on that 20" Sony CRT....where did that come from?

I rely on lazy sellers for a lot of my collection. The guy who is too lazy to test his Nomad and throws in on CL as-is for $35 with a bunch of game is a nice example. Or people who don't take pictures or just say, "call me for a list of games", those are where the gems come from.

If people can't figure out how to present their stuff so it sells, that's their problem not mine. I especially like when something has been up for weeks at a stupid price that no one jumps on, then I'll send them a low offer and they jump on it right away.

If you think online seller are bad, you should see some of the crap people will trade into stores. It's like whats shown here, but on a nearly daily basis.

The funniest thing is to watch people get offended when told their poorly cared for junk is worth less than good stuff. If you let your dog feral child gnaw on a controller, how can you possibly expect full trade price?

Same here. I usually offer some low bid on game carts where the owner doesn't know/care to get the old rental stickers off. Not a problem to me. I have many pristine copies in my collection that once had the foil 'void' stickers in place and local rental store address stickers on the back. They clean up nice and no one is the wiser.
    It is finished!
