Default Recapped VA6 Model 1 Sega Genesis with S-Video and Stereo Sound Modifications

$90 with free shipping to US states only. I don't mind shipping internationally, but it will be at the buyers expense. Here is what you get with your purchase.

    Recapped VA6 Model 1 Console
Official Sega Power Adapter (Model MK-1602)
    S-Video Cable for video
Official Sega 3-Button Controller (early model w/ red buttons)
    Sonic 2 (cart only)
    Gods (cart only)
    NHL 96 (cart only)

I have used potentiometers on the luma and chroma signals so you have the ability to adjust them to fit your display. I have provided numerous pictures via the link below so that you can see what you are buying. Use the pictures to gauge the consoles condition. If you have any questions, please ask....I'm an easy dude to work with.

I would probably clean up that mod work if I were you. Your wires are kinda messy and using heat shrink is much better than electrical tape for covering up connections. The transistor and cap for the luma and chroma signals can also be directly soldered to the CXA1145; it looks much cleaner and it reduces possible interference.

The console produces the desired results. I don't know anyone who plays a Genesis with the cover off.

Don't doubt yourself my friend. That was my first attempt and I'm sure you could do the same or better. You never know what untapped potential lies within until you call it forth

On a personal note, it's not that I don't want a wicked awesome modified Genesis, it's just that I don't have extra money for it. Radioshack has this clearance sale going on and their best digital soldering iron had a price drop from $100 to $30. Also, I'd like to buy a Vectrex that needs a little TLC and fix it up.

Anyways, good luck with your sale!

Understandable...a $70 price drop on a soldering iron?! That's a great deal. Was it a soldering station, soldering kit or just the iron?

I know the online price says $39.97, but I heard from an Arcade-Museum/KLOV thread that there's a 25% off sale in store on top of that. Fully blown 70W digital soldering station. In the reviews, people say it can use Hakko tips too.

You can check on Radioshack's site to see if a store near you has one in stock. They're out of stock online.

Man, I couldn't even sell this system on eBay *sigh*

I still have it if someone wants to buy it. I've edited the price to include free shipping and some games and a controller. I've also included numerous 'in game' pictures so you can see how the console displays video.
