Bloodlust Software thread.

Bloodlust Software was formed by two high school students, Icer Addis (a.k.a. Smegma) and Ethan Petty (a.k.a. Hellbent Deathspew), in Wichita, Kansas. The company lasted from 1992 to 1997 when the team disbanded.
This is just a thread for discussing things about Bloodlust Software (such as the company itself and Bloodlust Software's games).

Back in the early internets they had an "adopt a character" page. I remember Buddy being the one I got. I had it displayed on my GeoCities page. Also have fond memories of playing Nogginknockers. It felt so taboo.

I thought they were disgusting. Seeing the fecal lord in NESticle was absolutely repugnant. Regardless, they were good emulators for their time, but the themes were tasteless and painfully puerile. Knowing what I do about the rest of their so-called "software" I am not really impressed, and it reeked to me of 90's american crassness that made me hate the era so much.

I remember seeing a picture of Executioners' title screen once in a catalog and thinking that it looked interesting.

When I finally saw footage of the game a long time later, though... uh, yeah, I was glad that I'd never actually played it. Looks horrible!

I had Executioners and Time Slaughter. Executioners' controls were pretty stiff, graphics weren't so hot, but I did enjoy for the humor and charm. I doubt it'd hold up today though. Time Slaughter I really enjoyed. Being a fan of fighting games, I played this one a lot. Granted it was no SF2 control wise, it was a fun time waster. Once again, the charm and humor is what sold me on the game. They later released a beta version that included different characters.

Apparently Hellbent Deathspew is one of the people working on Watch Dogs, so I guess gory dos games do lead to fame!

That's kinda harsh, their games might not have been the best on the planet but they had a certain fun style about them.

I remember these guys. TimeSlaughter was one of the better indie games of it's day.
