Default Jurassic Park Mega Drive bundle ad - screenshot question

Found an ad for the Jurassic Park Mega Drive bundle. Check out the fourth screenshot - it has a Dr. Grant icon, with the weapons icon underneath it.
Does anyone know if this has been seen before? I played a beta version, but don't think it's in there?

Makes me think you would have been able to swap characters at one point.

Ya,it was probably in the end stages of development.

God, I must of played Jurassic Park on the Genesis more than watching the movie. Never really got too into being the raptor....cool idea...but too clunky for the time. Playing Alan Grant was amazing. I really like the water levels. Blew my mind as a kid

Yes, it's from a Power Unlimited! It's from issue #3 of 1993 (the mag's first year).
Image taken from Catawiki. The other image is the actual bundle from the ad - even the price is a match.

I couldn't agree more. I played this game so much as a kid.

I bought both Jurassic Park and Rampage Edition new back in the day and played them both to death. Rampage is my favorite of the two, but Jurassic Park holds a special place for me, too. Took me forever to beat some of the levels - I can't imagine having had such patience back then. The river is definitely my favorite level now. I do remember being furious when that Trike way at the end of the level sent me for a swim.

Yeah, PU was a bit of a clumsy mag at first, but I loved it anyway. Got the first issue from my aunt and uncle back in '93. I still like to read them every once in a while, the violent Sonic vs Mario drawings still crack me up.

    EDIT:
Played the beta version some more, but don't see the Grant icon in it anywhere.
    Beta date: 4/29/93
Final date: 6/14/93 (seen in level select)

My cousin was subsribed with PU back in those day's. He had all the PU's from the first one ( that one looked blurry as hell haha ) till couple years.
But then he gave them away.

Some how i liked the PU. It showed new games and stuff. And i remember this last pages of the magazine where they sell stuff and put mail from people in it.
Remember this guy "Mortal Marcel" who was being a bitch and sended post to PU everytime hehe.

    Good old days...

I'm gonna look if i have still got of these Sega flyers/booklets and stuff.

    oh wow I remember that.

I also remember whatshisface getting his girlfriend a job there and she was dubbed the RPG player. (and then she called FF6 a bad rpg)
or whathisface, the so called fighting game master, who then complained when he had to review Super Street Fighter II because "too many of them".

I should get my old magazines from storage sometime, I kinda wanna read them now.

Haha would be cool if you can post a scan of this mail pages about Mortal Marcel and such.. was kinda hilarious.

Was looking around some stuff and found my Megadrive instruction book back ! Cool. And found this dutch Sega Catalog.

I can scan it over couple of weeks if people would like.
