arcade FS: Sega Genesis/Mega Drive 6-button arcade stick, authentic parts great for DIY mods

I've got 3 of these for sale, they're all brand new old-stock, never opened. It's an Arcadian 6-button arcade stick by KBM that's built with real arcade parts & microswitches.

The box/enclosure is metal with the mode/start buttons on the right side, American-style bat stick with concave buttons & Cherry brand microswitches. I'm not sure if the stick and buttons are an actual Happ brand or a Happ-style knockoffs.

As you can see from the inside pic everything uses standard 1/4 inch disconnects so you can easily swap to whatever parts you prefer. I had no problem with the stock buttons but changed the stick out to a Happ Ultimate with a stiff spring and immediately fell in love it. There's nothing inherently wrong with the stock stick, that's just a personal preference of mine. The 4 holes to mount the stick may need to be adjusted for foreign brand sticks (Sanwa, etc) if they have a different size mounting bracket.

Price is $35 + actual shipping

Shipping can be either Priority Mail or Parcel Post, whichever you prefer. Since they're in their original boxes and the boxes are quite sturdy what I'll do is just wrap the original box in brown shipping paper and mail it that way. If you want it put inside a larger box I can do that but it may increase the postage cost. They weigh just under 5lbs so as a rough idea Priority Mail would be around $15 USD, more or less depending on the destination.

The one that was sold was to me. Indeed the Start and Mode buttons are on the side. Oddly and surprisingly they are slide switches with spring-return.
I love unusual peripherals and these arcade sticks perform very well out of the box and are a good base for upgrade modifications.

Sounds pretty sweet. I'd use these sticks for shooters more then anything since it's how I used to play them in the arcades.

Hope he has one left since I'm totally digging the design.

Just wanted to reply that I got the stick in the mail today. Was packed very well. Gave it a nice test run and it controls like a beauty.

    Thank you again Azathoth!

I managed to grab the last one of these Arcadian sticks from Azathoth! He's a great seller to deal with! The Arcadian is outstanding right out of the box, but I ordered some Industrias Lorenzo (iL) parts to customize and modify it. I have to refurbish the old, original Cherry microswitches anyway, since they're pretty corroded. Planning on using the old parts for a handbuilt arcade stick or as backup.

So, I went to Paradise Arcade Shop and got a full set of iL parts to swap in, including a neat button wrench that makes replacing iL and HAPP buttons a breeze. I chose a SEGA blue EuroJoystick and the same button color scheme (ie Street Fighter II in North America), but in the convex button shape instead of concave. New Cherry microswitches all around. I like this setup a lot more, since it is an easier transition back and forth to my Japanese controls and Spanish/American controls. The customizing was time consuming, but worth it!

I'm surprised that you managed to get two, since Azathoth said he only had three available. Two other SEGA-16'ers bought one each. Something isn't adding up.
