Question Video encoder for the MVS

Hello everyone! I'm new here, but actually have been following some threads for quite a while, just never posted anything.

So, I'm about to make a consolized MVS and there's something I'd like to know that maybe you can help me out with:

Is it possible to use a video encoder from another console, like the Mega Drive, for example, for outputting video for the MVS?

Yeah. As long as you have the RGBS signals coming from the MVS, you can feed it into any encoder you want.

So, for example, I just need to disolder the encoder's RGBS input pins from the Mega Drive board and feed the MVS directly into it, right? By doing so, would there be video from the RF and Composite outputs?

Wait you want to feed the mvs RGBS into the genesis? Leaving the encoder in the genesis?

It's not exactly that I want it. I want to know what is possible, so I can make it work. The problem is that I'm curious and quite a newbie in electronics, but find it very interesting. That's why I need some help from you guys, so I can make things correctly.

    No, for many reasons.

In short, get a loose CXA1645, the data sheet, and build the NTSC application circuit, or PAL, if you're using that.
