I'm working on James Pond: Underwater Agent. I can beat the ninth level, though it's very tough (full of enemies, some can't be killed). The tenth level is annoying, because one particular enemy is invisible without goggles, and you can't wear goggles and carry an item (in this case vase) at the same time.

When your caveman gets into his throwing stance, press backwards (i.e. the direction he's not facing), and after a moment he'll change his throwing arc to make the toss go higher. This isn't mentioned at all in the US manual, and Phantar confirmed it's not in the EU or Amiga manuals either, but it is in the Jaguar manual oddly enough.

Either way, I don't think Level 51 is beatable without it, because you can't toss a needed torch up onto a platform otherwise, and the Internet is full of bewildered questions about this stage. It's criminal that the manual omitted that information!
This is the reason why I love this thread. For me it is not interesting to see the pics of an ending. The great things are the little hints some people gave here which you cannot find anywhere else. Last week I played Double Dragon 5 (yeah really!) and with your help in the Can Sega-16 beat...in 2013 thread I learned that the best endings you get when you finished the Quest mode on hard. I never would have tried this because the game is so mediocre I never thought this lame normal-ending wasn't the best. And you know what: After that I tried the Tournament mode on hard and recognised that every character has a specific funny ending when beating that mode too. This is only one example why this beat all the games quest mean so much to me.
The Humans is a game which waits to be started by me too and I know I would have suffered the same problems at level 51 too but now I know the solution.

I would like to give you some reputation but I have to spread some around before I can give it to you again.

I'll attempt any of the available hockey games for the genesis.

Great, good luck! I tried playing it a bit the other day but quickly realized it was a tricky beast. Actually I somehow warped to Level 11 and was faced with a teleporting enemy that kept flattening me.

Awww, thanks, man. I feel the same way, and I'm really glad the info I've posted has been helpful. Night Driver has also been great about giving detailed information about the games he beats.

Excellent! I think this is what's left:

    ESPN National Hockey Night
    Mario Lemieux Hockey
    NHL All-Star Hockey ‘95
    NHLPA Hockey ‘93
    Tecmo Super Hockey
Wayne Gretzky and the NHLPA All-Stars

I think sgiacomo84 was going to work on NHL All-Star Hockey ‘95 (not sure if he's still around), but any of the others would be a good choice. IIRC StarMist got a fair way into Wayne Gretzky before he disappeared from the boards.

I got to that stage too, yesterday. By normals mean though.

By the way, I bought and beat Dragon Ball Z last year. I have no photo of it though.

IIRC I found a secret exit at the left side of Level 2 (I think), and it sent me straight to Level 11. Maybe that'll help with practice.

No photo required -- they're always appreciated, of course, but we're on the honor system here. I'll add it presently!

I looked it up and yes, that helps a lot, thanks. But man, that level is extremely hard. The scientists can't be killed and sometimes teleport to your exact location, draining a lot of your life if not killing you. The rooms are sometimes very narrow and swarming with enemies. One hit kill missiles keep hitting me. Some combs are on land and if you stay there too long you die, and its especially easy to do when so many enemies in the wet have already drained your health.

    Great!

Yeah, that was my impression as well -- of unremitting brutality -- but there's gotta be a way. I believe in you!

Yep I'm still here and slowly working through this one! Only about 20 games into the season, but still undefeated at least

Put me down for James Bond 007: The Duel and Judge Dredd. Time to fire up the Genny once again now that Christmas and New Years are over.

(Italian language. Basically, Yosemite Sam gives Daffy a ton of money for succeeding in the retrievement of his Golden Awards)

I finished my first game of 2015! Daffy Duck in Hollywood is a nice platformer, not a masterpiece but at least enjoyable. It is more focused on level exploration than pure platform, becuase you have to inspect every corner to find the TNTs before you run out of time and they explode, and this is the focus of the game. It is also quite hard - with a lot of well-positioned enemies and blind jumps, but there are some tips to make your mission enjoyable, such as go at slow pace, keep advantage of the frequent invunerable items (some of them are the only way to get past some areas without getting hurt) and memorize the pattern for the subsequent playthrough. Keep in mind that the game is unforgivable, as there is no way to replenish your health bar until you finish the level. So be prepared to some some lives here and there before being able to master it.

In order to get the good ending, you have to find the 6 Golden Awards, one for each level. Every level is divided in 3 scenes and every scene consts of 3 parts (aka sets of dynamites to search), so it will be very hard to find the correct level section and once you are at it, the Awards are very well hidden. It is so hard, i decided to make a video that shows their location:

EDIT: what about my next game? F1 World Championship edition, that is!

Complimenti! The return of Discomusic! Nice work with Daffy, thanks for the video, and good luck with F1.

And, an interesting statistic: all three PAL games beaten this year start with the letter D.

Good grief the controls in 007 are horrible! Everytime he fires his weapon he momentarily pauses which cause bad guys to take cheap shots on you. The jumping motion is choppy as well which causes cheap deaths on ledges. This might be a long one......
