The team tried to replicate this from seeing it in another Nintendo game, but in the end they had to get that programmer to tell them how it was done - that programmer was Satoru Iwata.
Right, so explain to me why Radar Scope bombed, even though Nintendo had Gunpei Yokoi for support. Nintendo did not write the code for Donkey Kong, it was actually outsourced to a contractor. Miyamoto's input was in art direction and story. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=477968

The videogame industry was born by 1st time programmers that had to learn everything about making a videogame. CD Project were not 1st time game programmers, they actually had experience with changing lines within the code to make translations of a game for Poland. It's much like Working Designs, in that that they had to have programmers to make changes to game code, be it changing the game's difficulty, removing stuff to improve the gameplay, and of course, translate the dialect within the game.

The Witcher is/was considered a ground breaking game in the genre, and it did things for the RPG that the genre wasn't well known to do.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
