Someone is proposing that SEGA's line of classic arcade games get LEGO sets! If it gets 10k supporters, LEGO will consider it. You have to register to support it, but it's quick and free.

All you'd really need is to get the guy to make some instructions and a printable sticker sheet, then head to bricklink to buy the individual pieces you need. All Lego would do is put it in a box for you (and charge extra since it's licensed). But I certainly understand the whole reaching a wider audience thing.
Growing up? Screw that. I have a closet full of Lego, which is a ton more than I had as kid. I hated going over to my cousin's house and seeing him with a full on pirate ship while I only ever got the small pirate set with a rowboat.

As much as I like SEGA and LEGO, these sets look kind of boring to build and look at. Would be cooler if they were actual scenes from the games, the car, track and palm trees from outrun for example. Still I do appreciate the effort and originality.
Anyone else notice the acronym for Sega Classic Arcade Machines? Seriosly though, no After Burner? That would've been first on my list.
This is what my brother would refer to as Clarke Porn, every now and then he links me to stuff like this, nice find Melf!
Results: 'Unfortunately the LEGO Review Board has decided that we will not produce this project as a set.'
Oh well, I would have loved for this to be a set, but having seen the type of products that tend to get made I did suspect that this wouldn't be produced. Lego rarely say why a product was rejected, but even if Lego wants to make it sometimes they can't license the idea. If I had to guess, I'd say that this was rejected because the market for it isn't quite big enough, sadly.
Its not like people can't build their own if they really want one, could be a fun project.
*Edit: If anyone's interested, the winner was Tron Lightcycle. Also a cool idea that I would love to buy.

I thought this was about a Lego version of Sega's games. In which case, I was going to say: "not interested". But a Lego Toyline representation of Sega franchises, count me in.
[EDIT]
Those Sega Fan figs look. Especially the Female figure that looks like a washed-out cafeteria lady. Yu Suzuki looks great, though.

I would really love these!
Lego + Sega = Awesome!
Pretty cool, collectors would probably buy them all up instantly if LEGO made the sets for real.
Good idea for the retro/nostalgia crowd. However, it's a niche market since Sega is no longer a household name (among the youngsters anyway).
