So what happened to the game? Wasn't it supposed to be released in a certain way?

I've been thinking the same thing of late. I thought there was going to be some type of negotiation between all the various parties involved to settle the rights and release issues?

Knowing our luck, more likely than not negotiations between all parties fell through somewhere which is why the proto hasn't been released yet, either that or negotiations are still ongoing.

Factor5 developers simply DON'T want this game to be released/leaked.
Thats why they take all the Prototypes that was surface...

    Just reality mimicking the art...

No one is going to leak this unless they got it in an untraceable way and are in a country that can't be reached by Disney's lawyers.

Perhaps Retrospiel could give us an update if there is any new information?

This is just like a dump of that Spot Goes to Hollywood for 32X. People that acquire the proto act all enthusiastic and say they'll be sharing it soon, then complete silence. Color me shocked. /s

The Spot 32X game was at least released for charity a few years back at a con. This will never see the light of day with a legit release. It will have to be randomly dumped to keep lawyers off people's asses.

Exactly. I have heard there is discussion about doing a second run od Spot 32X as well, but it may be some ways off.

I have one of the Spot goes to Hollywood 32X Carts from the Cowlitz for Kids event and you know what? If someone send me the Indy Rom (or releases it in public) I will release the Spot Rom in public. It will be a win-win-situation for everyone. If the owner of the Indy Rom needs further proof that I own the cart I am happy to provide it.

A big round of applause for all of you guys!

The project is not dead, in fact it is closer to realization than ever before. Ideally I would like some experience with releasing a game before tackling this so there will be at least one other release before this.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

Fun fact: This cancelled version was registered and got an ESRB rating but with the name "Indiana Jones Ultimate Adventure" by US Gold.

Will this be before or after Disney's lawyers annihilate you?
