Great resource, many thanks for compiling this.

Edit: If you can, you might want to modify the thread's title to add the word "resolution". Search function is disabled for smaller terms such as H40, H32 or 256 I guess.

Firebrandx, your list is missing one USA title: Battletoads vs Double Dragon (just when I thought the entirety of Rare's output for the Genesis / MD was in H32, it turns out that they actually made the original Battletoads in H40... From a NES original, nonetheless. Oh well, they must have thought that it wasn't worth the hassle, because all the rest are in H32).

Firebrandx, here's another very interesting case that should make its way on your list:

    KLAX by Tengen.

It's (probably?) the only title in the entire Megadrive softography that renders the game in both resolutions and lets the player choose his/her favorite. In the option menu, the option "Wide Screen" is set as default "No", and the main game runs in H40. Set it to yes and the gameplay switches to H32.

Pretty cool isn't it? Man if only we had known back then... Who needs blast processing when you have two different res modes! It's the coolest thing ever!

The Japanese version of Marble Madness offers the option too (incidentally, also made by Tengen).

D'oh, you're absolutely right! I was under the impression that Marble was a different case: it seemed to me the same resolution with just a pair of black columns added on the sides for coin-op fidelity. Instead, I checked with the emulator and it's true, that game switches to H32 too. I stand corrected. :-)

Thank you so much for the work on this! I have been thinking about dropping this optimized mode from my OSSC for a GBI 240p optimized mode. I'll have to reference this puppy to see what I'm missing out on. If there's only a handful of my faves on here, I will just play those on the "stock" setting, or on my Mega SG/

Bear in mind that games may still use H32 mode in important parts (several of the Sonic games do it in special stages, for instance).
