    Impressive, looks very polished.

In regards to the ports at the time, the Amstrad version wasn't bad for £9.99 to be honest. C64 version wasn't bad either, smoother and better graphically than Amstrad but it was just too hard. Never liked any of the other ports to be honest, though I expect more from the Amiga and PC-Engine than the 8-bit computers.

Sega Lord X should update his video with Tryphon's awesome Shinobi Arcade conversion, once it's finished

I don't really think he should, because it wouldn't add much and it would most likely rank last. Sega Lord X points out Revenge of Shinobi is an improvement over the first Shinobi game. Still, thanks for sharing this video.

Is this project still alive? If so, can I donate to the author?

I hope it doesn’t follow the arcade games continue system, not allowing you to continue on the last level is BS. ESWAT arcade did this as well.

Monster Lair in the arcade was the same way. Infinite continues until the last level and then none.

NAM-1975, on the Neo•Geo, had the same thing. Infinite continues, until the last level. The last stage was pretty tough too.

I will say, that after spending $200 on the home cart, this made me appreciate the restriction on continues. My brother and I mastered the final level + boss (Dr. Muckley), after many gaming sessions. Had they just given unlimited continues, we likely would have moved onto something else.

P.S. I hope this port is still going. It looked like it was set to be one of the finest arcade ports on the Sega Genesis/MD.
