Now that the Genesis / Megadrive 2 Mini has been released and everybody is talking about it, I think this Shinobi conversion could have been included, just like they've included a new Fantasy Zone arcade conversion and also Darius was on the first Mini.

AFAIK it's far from finished, though. Also a demo is released in the public and so far it seems that's a no-go for Sega giving it an official license like with Darius and FZ (but that's pure speculation and the demo is very short)
