Cats or Dogs?

Well its been years since this has probably been looked at so I decided to dig it up and see what kind of reactions some of the newer people here give this thread. (note: I was bored and I haven't been on here for some time so give me some updated opinions.)

cats, docg not at all, because they BARK and this irritates me. I know they are meant to bark, but some fucks bark 24/7 for NO reason and this pisses me so off if every 4 sec bark is heard. Cats atleast STFU :P.

The people that live next door to me have two dogs that they let out a 4:30 in the morning and the bark at every damn bird that flies above the sky. It is annoying as all hell! I just want to open my window and yell at them to shut the hell up! Then again that would probably cause every other dog in the area to bark and would not help anything... *sigh*

Cats.

Dogs are more like children that need to be taken care of 24/7 than friends, and I don't like or want kids. Cats are more like buddies that you hang out with and keep you company, so they seem more beneficial, imo.

Haven't read the whole thread, but: Cats. Compared to dogs, cats are usually much softer, and they have a small amount of smell plus they usually smell OK or slightly nice. (While dogs usually reek.) Cats are generally very clean, cuddly, affectionate creatures. Heck they're more affectionate and cuddly than most women out there.

Anyway, I vote cats. I don't hate dogs at all* - some of my friends have / had some great dogs, and it's fun to play with them for a while - I just don't have the time or patience to live with one. They require so much attention and training (unless you want to listen to them barking 24 hours a day and watch them chew up everything you own and love.) Cats are friendly yet low maintenence (generally). And they're cute. :P

Cats are too fussy, smell more than dogs and far too independent for my liking.

Dogs and dogs alone. Mainly because I'm allergic to cats and I have a hypoallergenic dog (a toy poodle. She's so damn cute). I would've preferred a bigger dog, but anything bigger (except bichons) sheds and my mother doesn't like big dogs as much as the small ones.

Plus, dogs generally act nice to me, unlike cats which generally scratch me or try to bite me.

Cats can't save you from a burning building and will never have the urge to, they simply not intelligent enough.Cats have emotions, but not on the same levels of dogs.I will say this if you want something small get a cat, those yipping dogs are just awful.

I have 2 dogs and a cat. I prefer dogs. But each one has it's own qualities that I like or dislike. But with this case I vote Dogs.

Cats all the way. They can be as playful and loyal as dogs too. Just have them from when they're babies and they're yours.
