    Default SEGA Game tester documentary

I saw this on segabits, and just finished watching it. I thought it was pretty interesting. Supposedly it just recently got released online.
It's basically a documentary from '95-'96 showing the work that game testers at SEGA did. Mostly Genesis games. Give it a watch!

    Thank you for sharing this!
    Loved it!

All the stands and the kiosk flyers/stuff... Ohh the nostalgia!
Besides the games... Loved the clothes, attitude, 90's music... and even the female testers had some kind of a special thing. Really loved it from the beginning to the very end!

I tried search for the documentary by title here and nothing came up!

I conducted an interview with This is Sega Test Director John Jansen about his time at Sega of America from 1991 to 1997 and you can read it here. I know you guys will eat it up!

In case anyone's Googling around for the Sega Test video and John's goes down on Vimeo, my mirror is below.

I can say this much from talking with him this past week.

He's shown me about 25 more minutes of footage. Originally, he was going to release a batch of it edited together this week, but I think he's weighing his options now. A new documentary is definitely on his mind.

Ugh, yeah. John had actually sent that to me when he found it first.

They took my version of the video with the audio edits to get it past Content ID and stretched it out. I was considering "filming" a chair's reaction to their reaction video.

And people wonder why Sony won? Looks like ALL the equipment, bar the actual video games, is sourced from Sony. You would think they would at least buy Panasonic.

..why would they, though? sony was known as the premier brand for a lotta electronics at that point, and they had a solid relationship with them for years. were they gonna dump it all & take a further loss when the PSX dropped?
