Hey Everyone,
As most of you know by now, WM is publishing Studio Vetea's Papi Commando (and it's a flipping awesome game if you ask me), and Vetea wanted to post something for everyone here, but hasn't been able to as his account hasn't become activated I believe, so he asked me to pass along this message.

Hello,

I'm Vetea, the creator of Papi Commando ( and many other game like Bomb on Basic City, Rol'An'Go, etc ... )
I can't register in Sega16 since few years, I have my Pseudo but I can't write or create any message, so I tell to a friend who is register in Sega, to send this message.

I know the impatience of the FANS with the WM's project as PY or PN. They are so much talents ...
Papi Commando is another case ... WM give like Homebrew developper like me, a chance to know some good homebrew game to a large community.
I understand the fact where this game is really another stuff like WM made. Worse for one, terrible for another, that's the rules !
If you don't like it or for another reason, you are free to forget this game, we are in a democraty, I guess !

Papi Commando PC Edition take me 800 hours of works ! I'd made all parts of the game except the Music. You can DL freely it on my website or itch.io website.
Papi on MD is an adaptation. Not really the same game, but same chars and story !
Clearly it was my first attempt on retro console like the MD and a nice first try as you can see later.
At 45 years old, it's really a dream !!

For this production, I use PCM 14Khz 8 bits tracks ( heavely remastering with Audacity ! ) to ensure a best quality possible.
I use XGM's Stef drivers, a formidable driver he use with his wonderful SGDK !
At the beginning, I really don't understand how make FM music, but it's now done with my last project : Bomb on Basic City ! All Musics in this game are FM !

About BasiegaxorZ, alias Bex ...
Yes I know BasiegaXorz has bad reputation to make game with crappy demo at the beginning of this project and you probably hate this Devkit ... BUT !

As you see, there are no bad langage but good developpers !
For Papi Commando, there are some ASM 68K Routines .. I've just start to learn ASM 68000 since one years.
And I'm a pixel artist with a cartoon style as you can see.

I hope you enjoy and apprecied this game.
It made with passion and with my "heart".

Thanks for posting! Papi Commando looks VERY promising indeed! The one thing I would love to see changed would be the PCM soundtrack. Do you think you could implement FM music instead ?

After, I see with Rol'an'go MD conversion and ... Papi Commando II - Revenge of the C++ !
