Here's question #1:
The official title won't be "Tavern RPG" will it?
No, it won´t.
Tavern RPG is a project title because Eidolon´s Inn´s forums are called the tavern.
We will reveal the real name later this year.
Now sticky the thread, Joe, will you?
Will you be able to pay for it like one paid for Beggar Prince? Paypal is one of the few conveniant ways for me to pay.![]()
I´m not sure, but I guess it will be PayPal. It really is the easiest way for everyone.
@Herr Schmitt
We are looking for a release in pretty much a year from now on- for both cartridge- and CD-version (since we are pretty sure now that we will do a cartridge-version)
Until then you will see much more of the game, as several teasers, a website and a demo are planned.
However, we are still looking for help; we have loads of work to do.
As for the price, nothing is decided yet; it all depends on the production costs. We will be able to tell for certain when the most important parts of the game are finished; when we know how much MEGA POWER we need. We can produce 64 MEGA POWER cartridges, but maybe we won´t need that much memory.
We want to keep the price of the cartridge-version on the level of Beggar Prince, around 40,- - 50,-$ or less.

That'd be neat. I would buy it in an instant.![]()
I promise you now that I will buy the cartridge release of this game.
Will this one support 32X and all that?

Any idea when the demo will be released? Also how would you go about getting your hands on the demo?
What style of CD case will you use?
You mean if it will run with a 32X attached? I suppose yes, but I can´t say for sure; too early. It will not use the 32X hardware for more colours etc if you mean that.Originally Posted by Genesis Knight
The demo will be released early next year. To get it, I would personally recommend clicking on the "downlod"-button on our future website.Originally Posted by Vehemont
Probably an average jewel-case...isn´t this how they were packaged back in the days?Originally Posted by Man-Fish

Mega/Sega CD cases in different regions:
JP: Regular jewel disc case, the Japanese were smart enough not to confuse them with music discs.
EU: Double disc case, to make sure any dumb European doesn't confuse it with music discs.
US: Super extreme power disc case, to make sure any dumb American doesn't confuse it music discs.
I'll put my TRPG next to my JP Mega CD games, so it looks better on the shelf!

Well, what I can say is that only 440 MByte of a MCD game can be used for game data; that leaves quite a lot of free space for bonus-stuff like art-gallery, making of etc. We are thinking about that now.
Also, the MCD-version will not neccessarily be superior; it will most likely be different. There are things that are not possible on MCD technically, but on cartridge they are. Same goes the other way around.
@Zebbe
But you´re a European...you might confuse it with music CDs, so maybe we´ll use double CD cases.
