    You had to use your hands? That's like a babies toy!

    ==============================

    I have played systems from that era but I never played Coleco. Vectrex and Atari 2600 are about it.

    Life!? ... What console is that on?

    Yes 2nd generation consoles were mostly played by people born in the 70s(Gen Xers). We Millennials first got started with NES/SNES/Genesis. I've tried playing 2600 games in emulators and its too primitive for me to handle.

    Ironically, it's now caught up in 38 special years of existence.

    Ahem! Late 60s. I was 9 when the Atari VCS came out.

    Yeah, I also saw Star Wars and Close Encounters at the Drive-in.
    A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    I know there's a freaky phenomenon where some people turn 39 years old each year. Fortunately, the ColecoVision only turns 39 years old today.

    I was actually checking out the prices for a ColecoVision on ebay this week. It's tempting, but I just might buy a USB Coleco pad and emulate the console on the PC. I have a ColecoVision Flashback, but thing is such a hunk of junk, that it freezed up playing Cosmic Avenger.

    Thanks for making me feel really old. 39 years!

    Me three! Never played the ColecoVision, but I can still have fun with some Atari 2600 games, like Crackpots, Demon Attack and Enduro.

    Man I'm kicking myself for missing out on the Collectorvision Phoenix. Really hoping that they do a third run but it's probably not going to happen it sounds like.

    My favorites were Frontline , baseball, Rocky and Turbo.
    The baseball worked surprisingly well with that funky joystick.
