Atlus localized it. Also don't be so trivial. None of the changes are that big a deal. All minor. The one people make the biggest fuss about is an optional side mission and the dress appears on screen for 90 seconds. Sure it was a lazy change but 90 seconds. The second one well.. Oh, noes the game doesn't have 15-year-old girl fan service with her tits hanging out...give me a break. In fact, the western change the Photographer is better. The core game is there and it's a damn good one. May as well get upset at the changes SEGA and Sony made to SKies of Arcadia and Grandia. Localization isn't necessarily "censorship". Wolfenstein II in Germany, now that was censorship.

Life!? ... What console is that on?

Stuff like Persona brings out the weebs whenever there's a localization matter. Unfortunately, that's the Internet. The Japan gaming freaks want their 30 second wet dreams uncensored. Otherwise, they will want Japanese copies only. Insert any game that has an anime style.

Personally I want translations or localization to be as accurate as possible for now sense I now know better and have seen better localization for awhile from various companies like Sega, Idea Factory, and Xseed. Minor changes are fine in localization and understood, especially something like region restrictions like age changes and what not. Wanting good localization and no cut content doesn't make people weebs or the proper term Wapanese.

The problem with Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was that it was censored compared to the Japanese version, which includes missing content and a lot unsual changes compared to previous Atlus localizations at the time from before and after didn't do at all. Cutting out content, changing story details, and making dumb visual changes is not keeping the core game there.

Also most japan gaming freaks wouldn't probably use a game to get off, nope sites like gelbooru, danbooru, pixiv, or just use normal porn sites like everyone else.

lol, what an exaggeration. The so-called "story change" is just changing an outfit of a 15-year-old girl's tits hanging out in a perverted fan service to an actual creative outfit for a scene that is less than 1 minute long. "censorship" Christ, people do not get the difference between localization and "censorship" Everyone wants to cry that word these days at every turn. Get over yourself. I suppose you cried when a 13-year-old girls bikini was removed from Xenoblade X. You have to make localization changes to meet a target ESRB rating in the US. Meanwhile Platinum was afraid to put in sexy outfits for Bayonetta with Nintendo costumes so they made them conservative. Nintendo said..Nah son makes them sexier and show more cleavage. So they did. Now we have Ocotpath Traveler and Primrose's story is not "censored" They don't hide the brothels or her being raped. 80s/90s Nintendo was notoriously bad for censoring games and they still make an odd choice from time to time but now when people cry "censorship" It's usually not knowing the difference between localization and actual "censorship".

I'm also disturbed you know the name cartoon porn sites. Getting off to cartoons is beyond me.

I don't know changing the context of the story in game seems major or changing character clothing to not offend people seems like censorship, not localization. I understand if the European, Canda, or PAL places are censored or localize to avoid legal issues, however the USA doesn't have those issues.

Also knowing the names of anime and hentai imageboards isn't that disturbing especially if you been a non-causal fan of anime or manga or been any site like the chans, reddit, or any anime forums. That just like saying that knowing the names of Porn magazines, sites, or the red light district in a town or city (aka the place to avoid, unless if you want aids, get robbed, or get into legal issues). If you are disturbed by this, that is kind of silly or funny.

    Not censorship. Anyway, stop derailing.

    Back on topic.

I like the original Divinity games more than Original sin. Back when they were fun Diablo-like games. Played Divine Divinity again and man I still love it. I hope the next game in the series is an ARPG again.

I like NiGHTS but I also feel it's vastly overrated by SEGA fans and honestly not even that great of a game. It has charm but there isn't much there really. I think if the game was made today be nothing more than a $10-15 indie game on Steam. I think my fave thing to come from the game aside from the controller and music is the NiGHTS pinball section in Sonic Adventure.

I've never got why Suikoden was considered such a great RPG. Sure you could build up these massive amount of characters, but the game play was just meh. I traded that game in within a month of getting it, and I even finished the horrible Beyond the Beyond.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    Grandia>FF7.

No, really. Music. Combat system. Visually aged better. Not 90s edgy that hasn't aged well but innocent and one of the best if not the best game ever to truly give a feeling of a massive adventure. Fantastic cast. Grandia II maybe my fave in the series but this game is Game Arts best work and that's saying something when they had Lunar. I feel lke FFVII is that 90s trend of black trenchcoats and sunglasses everyone thought was cool (well until Columbine) and is dated where Grandia wasn't terminally hip but it's just as amazing in every way now as it was then.

I think anyone who played both games would agree on this. grandia 1 is one of the greatest rpg's ever made. I also really like final fantasy 7 but the battle system isn't exactly funny especially these days.

Bro, Can you please stop Back-Seat modding? It wasn't that much of a derail in the sense that censorship does effect a game's popularity in some cases. You don't have to do my job for me. If things get out of hand I'll step in.

On Topicish, I enjoyed both Grandia and Final Fantasy VII's battle systems. Now Final Fantasy VIII's battle system sucked so bad. The Draw system was a horrible idea. Good music overall but that system was shit.
