Xbox 360 The Xbox 360 Official awesome games thread!

So after all these years and avoiding it for reasons here and there, I've finally obtained an Xbox 360 S system from a friend. I'll be honest guys, My knowledge of the system is very nil since I literally skipped owning this console on day 1 ever since I heard about the Red Ring of Death issues which scared me from ever wanting to own one. So now as I sit here with the system hooked up and cleaning it out the previous owner's information, I have almost 0 idea of what great games are on this system.

So my fellow old ass farts of gamers who lurk across these boards, I come to you in the hopes of your willingness to share your knowledge of what great games are worth going after for this system. I'm not getting this system to collect but to play and enjoy so have it gentlemen!

Those sound solid but I'm shocked you never mentioned the Fable games.

Raiden IV. Best in the series IMO.
Darksiders 1-2. Great games and basically M rated Zelda.
Blue Dragon. Great RPG from Mistwalker
    Lost Odyssey. See Above.
Devil May Cry 4. Only DMC worth getting last gen.
Persona 4 Arena Ultramix. Persona 4 fighting game.
Transformers Cybertron games. Pretty good TPS games.
Lost Planet 1-2. Not as good as EX Troopers on PS3 but really cool games.
Genesis Collection. Still might be the best one of these.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow. First one is great. Ignore the rest.
Virtua Fighter 5. Best in the series.
Akai Katana. It's a Cave shooter.
    Deathsmiles. See above.
Mushihime-Sama Futari Ver 1.5. Top 5 shmup of all time. Seriously.
Espgaluda II: Black Label [Platinum Collection] Another great Cave shooter.
Nier. Everyone should play this game. The story is so amazing as is the music.
Dead or Alive 4. Best DOA since 2.
Resonance of Fate. A great RPG from SEGA no one played.
Anarchy Reigns. It's a little bit Power Stone as a beat em up.
    SEGA Rally Revo.
Conan. Don't let the ugly visuals fool you. This is a great hack n slash game.

Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom. Dude. Easily the most hidden gem of last gen. Emotional game but also super fun. It's The Last Guardian a decade before TLG released and fully responsive, unlike TLG.

Asura's Wrath, What if Japan made anime God of War and made it way over the top and way way way more anime? This game and it's amazing.
    Eternal Sonata. Good RPG.
Metal Gear Rising. Who cares if you like Metal Gear Solid. This is the best Ninja action game ever made.
Ninja Gaiden II. This is the second best Ninja game ever made.
SEGA HD classic like Wonder Boy games. Daytona USA. Guardian Heroes. Radiant Silvergun and more.
Kingdoms of Amalur The Reckoning. Seriously EA released the 2 best WRPGs last gen with this game and Dragon Age Origins. I won't list DAO here because it's a mess on consoles.
Binary Domain. Holy shit! SEGA released the generations 2 best TPS games IMO. Binary Domain has the neat feature of the buddy system. If you do well the happier your friends will be. Piss them off and they leave the group and become bosses.
VanQuish. Seriously just play this masterpiece. It does for TPS games what Bayonetta did for character action.
Strider. I think this is on 360 but what a fantastic Strider game! My fave game of 2014!

Ninja Blade is shit. It's just a QTE fest and not in a fun way and has one of the worst turret sequences in a game ever made. EVER! In a generation where everyone had them. I shit you not. Devil's Third has better turret sequences and they are as bland as it gets in that game. Avoide it. I used to own Enslaved and again it sucks. Gets full fast.

Life!? ... What console is that on?

Brothers in Arms HH - Fab WW II sim

Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Simply brilliant adv game, thats a mist buy

GTV - The best GTA game ever made

Tomb Raider - Brilliant Adv game

    Ace Combat 6

Singularity - Amazing FPS that is so clever and thought out, sadly overlooked

Since nobody mentioned it, the Mass Effect Trilogy, specially the first two games. Star Ocean and Bullestorm are good choices as well.

Brother, I would start hunting down first and foremost all the Shmups and RPGs on the system. All super affordable. And I'm talking about exclusives here. Definitely a fun system for which to collect exclusives.

You might want to make a list then dammit. I don't care about LE box copies of these games. I'd rather just have basic NQ games. Speaking of which, Found a minty copy of the 1st Mass Effect game at a pawn shop for 5 bucks. I hope I didn't pay too much but I've been playing it for about a few hours now.

Are you looking for exclusives? Or just fun games that are also available on the 360?

Both honestly. Sucks Xbox Live is dead and gone but I was surprised that connecting the system to the internet yielded a full version update for the system.

For Mass Effect, I highly recommend the trilogy on the PS3. Best way to go, imo. You are going to want to play them back to back. The saves states carry over. And it is a gorgeous cyberpunk/spacefarer of a story you'll want to finish.

BonusKun, I only briefly owned a 360 so I canít offer much. But I really liked the Gears of War games (itís basically Resident Evil 4 meets Doom, with a cover system. Also, Bender). And the Earth Defense Force games are good, stupid, goofy fun. I also enjoyed the XBox Arcade compilation packs.

I agree with most of Team Andromedaís picks, which is why I have most of them on the PS3.

Lol. Well. When it comes to Xbox systems, I tend to go with exclusives. So that's one of them.

@Bonuskun: GameStop is your safest bet for more than 75% of those exclusives. I had a great time hunting them down. They are still very much available.

P.S.> BTW. The reason I went with Far Cry 3 compilation as a suggestion on the 360 is bc it has the only physical copy of Blood Dragon in the US. It is one of my favorite 7th gen games of all time. And it is pressed in a separate disc of its own. Too much awesomeness.
