I'm just using a usb power pack (velcroed to the back of the nomad) along with a usb 5v power mod for my nomad, but this is pretty nifty, and if I can get a suitable battery into the country I'd give this a go. Shame the LCD you link definitely won't ship here

Helder, you're a mad genius and I adore and trust your work. I sandwiched one of your Mega Amp boards in my CDX which ridded me of the awful sound that system produced and for that I will forever treasure. I'd love to pick up one of your batteries if you ever produce them and make them for sale. I was prototyping my own by casting a mold of my official Nomad battery holder and then converting into a rechargeable solution using lithium camcorder batteries, wires and paperclips as contacts. The one unit I made worked really well and I was thinking of doing another, but molds are such a pain and I don't have a 3D printer which would be universally more convenient. Here is where I was at for the sake of fun sharing:

That's a really nice mold, I got the new pogo pins in last week but I need some time to redo this one and I do plan to add some extra things to make it easier to know when you need to charge the battery as it get's low so there will likely be a new version in the works soon.

An update for anyone following this project. I got 3 hours and 51 minutes from a full charge and with stock hardware. I'll retest it with the replacement LCD in the up coming weeks. 2 hours and 35 minutes to fully charge the battery.

That's pretty good time on stock. Excited to see what you get running the replacement LCD. I sent you a PM also.

what?! if it doesn't get 30 hours battery life on 2AAs it must be worthless. we should all throw our Sega Nomads in the trash along with Sega Game Gear, lynx, etc. and get a gameboy! I mean it must be better !!!
[I'm still working through 20 years of Nintendo Fanboy interactions]

good work Helder, any update on the S video from the LCD?
