Default Golden Axe III on Genesis

Is there a patch or any other way to play Golden Axe III on unmodified SEGA Genesis console?

A game genie code would almost certainly work. Bypassing region locks is pretty easy with a game genie.

I found these two codes for golden axe 3 when searching online:

    BT7T-CA9E
    AA7T-CN9R
    Modded consoles:
Master System (v7040) with s-video & direct AV out
Model 1 with 10mhz overclock & halt switches
    Model 1 with 10mhz 68010
    Model 2 VA2.3 with unfiltered Mega Amp, & s-video
    Model 3 VA1 with compatibility fixes & s-video
    32X with s-video

    Thanks for the codes.
That's a bummer that every time I or someone else will want to play GAIII, I'll have to input the code, but that's at least something.
Strange that no one hasn't made some sort of patch.

Are you using a flash cart?

There is a utility that can patch game genie codes into game roms. https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1054/
You can use it to make your own region patched ROM with those codes I posted.

Which flash cart? The Mega Everdrive allows Game Genie codes, that can just always be on.

A little extra advice for flash carts, these hep out a lot if you're not in the European region, but want to play some of those games without issue:

^The readme suggests having this: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1040/ as well as the roms in .md format, named as the No-Intro set(the patches are already named properly). You can cheat and just rename the roms extensions as well, but along with the other app, that's just if you want to be able to patch everything you intend to at once. Otherwise, the main thing is to use this after patching: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/342/
