Imagine blaming other people, worse, an entire racial group for your own failings in life. Pathetic. I suppose it's a nice easy get out clause for the lazy people in society though. I might try it if I get desperate enough. Blame my failings in life on the fact that my ancestors had to work on board ships, up chimneys, in dangerous factory environments and down mines when they were children. If I get lucky I'll be able to pin all my failings on one particular person or group of people in history, then I'll really earn that special victim status. Oh joy!

I hate to try to simplify what's going on, but to me it boils down to a few things.

    1. You have a LOT of people who are stressed and frustrated following months of COVID-19, and they are acting out. Whether that's protesting, or in some shameful cases looting. Those frustrations are exacerbated by poverty and institutional racism which the United States leads the world in.

    2. To me, this is not simply a few bad cops spoiling the rest. This is partly bad training, as well as racism. However, the main culprit time and time again is that when police collectively or individually make mistakes or violate procedures, they are rarely punished. Time after time, they keep getting away with it. Complaints go unheeded. Frankly, that is where politicians need to do their jobs and change laws that make cops subject to the same legal system the rest of us are. Again, racism and poor tactics (such as 3AM no knock storming of homes) are bad enough, but departments often have their hands tied behind their backs. Police unions will fight change, they need to be overcome.

    3. The vandalism and violence is uncalled for! Unfortunately due to the highly organic nature of these protests, there's no organization. Good grief in Philly today they couldn't even direct the mob of people where they wanted to march. This disjointedness has allowed scumbags to infiltrate, and there's no chain of command to get the actual protestors to go home, allowing police to go after the looters. Several black people have been murdered this week by criminals trying to rob them. Granted this could have happened regardless but the true criminals are taking advantage now.

    4. The Media as well as federal politicians as usual are pretty much useless on this. Once again, though, the fool of all was the President. He was kind of irrelevant to much of these protests, but his actions the other night with the tear gas and the photo op was maybe the single dumbest thing he's done yet. Trump has interjected himself now as the primary villain to the protest movement, which is just incredible stupid.

You have people in the left wing American media, such as CNN and The New York Times scraping the barrel of excuses to justify the riots and disorder. There should be zero tolerance for such behaviour in society. The riots and looting being carried out by those opportunistic scum bags should be brutally put down. Ask yourself this, would this be tolerated by the mainstream media if the riots and looting were being carried out by Trump supporters? I think we all know the answer to that one.

"Institutionalized racism", in a country where you can be fined and imprisoned for mistreating a person due to their ethnicity, everyone is deathly afraid of being called a racist for fear of being made unemployable, and you basically hit the jackpot if you can convince an attorney of such mistreatment by any business, never mind any government agents. But it's all the bad President man's fault. Even those most strongly opposed to the mere existence of the previous President didn't claim he was the cause of all of their woes (though he did have quite a number of lackeys with questionable ethics operating with his blessing, like Eric Holder).

And then people wonder why this just turns people even more racist.

As I explained in point #4, Trump INTERJECTED himself into this, because his ego prevented no other response. When police are actually made accountable for their actions, and this is not just killing unarmed black people, that would be a start. Again, this is NOT an indictment of cops, but of the system in which they operate under. The system is rigged. They are rarely brought to justice, and the litany of innocent men in prison due to shoddy investigating, lying on the stand, and prosecutor malfeasance is rampant.

For what it's worth, the Trump administration undid many of the Obama police reforms. He also screamed during his rallies that he enjoys police roughing up suspects, which is illegal by the way. So yeah, he deserves blame in this matter.

I'm not black so I'm not going to pretend I know what they need to do. Shit, that wasn't that hard. Though you might try interacting with some, that way you can tell them personally how they can make you feel more comfortable as a person.

    Bullshit.
From the police themselves, this is an extension of "Obama's war on cops".
(which never existed in the first place, but that hasn't stopped the boot-licking police status-quo supporters from claiming as much.)

What the fuck are you on about? He was literally ripped on for wearing a tan suit and liking Dijon mustard on his sandwiches; and that's when his wife wasn't being torn apart for wearing sleeveless dresses. Meanwhile "president badman" is married to a former porn model/ high priced prostitute, and he's somehow sent from God.
You should stick to Clinton body count and pizzagate conspiracies, they seem to be more in your wheelhouse. I just hope to God that some day when you're down in your 'boogaloo' bunker you might finally be able to beat RE2 remake.

One correction: The brick thing was a misunderstanding. The cops seen unloading them were university police, not Boston PD, and they were merely transporting. See, I'll admit when I'm wrong...

Now here's something for those of you who are so terribly concerned about vandalism. This was in Portland. It's not the biggest thing but worrying about property damage at this time is awfully petty to begin with.

That is quite possibly the most ignorant and racist thing Iíve ever heard you say. Good job.

So youíre essentially saying that basic human decency should be judged by a much more fluid scale, depending on your race? I only have a right to judge bad behavior from trashy white people, because those are the only people Iím capable of understanding. Youíre saying there are fundamental, genetic differences that prevent certain people from obeying the law (which, silly me, I thought applied to everyone.) Youíre saying that equal rights are inherently impossible and that we shouldnít even bother trying to exist in the same society?

Interesting to know thatís how you feel. Very illuminating.

It's like you and MegaDrive Cuckley were separated at birth, you both seem to miss the point in spectacular fashion. Though you've perfectly summed up Yharnamresident's 'race realism' views. What I was saying is you have no idea what it's like to be black, therefore you have no right to condescend to them about what cultural or moral changes they may or may not need to make in their 'communities'. Especially considering your breathtakingly ignorant hot takes on almost any issue I've read you post about. And since the above will be misinterpreted, no doubt, I'm not referring to the looters/rioters, or excusing their actions via some sort of moral/cultural relativism. I'm speaking of how you think black people should conduct themselves in their daily lives.

But yeah, I'm probably the real racist because I see color🙄

Ah, so you have nothing substantial to respond with, I see. Looks like I was right on the money.

Youíre right about one thing, though: Mega Drive Bowsley is a great guy. Sorry he doesnít fit in with your miserable, hateful perception of how the world works.
