Default Secret Santa 2019 Official Thread

Since I randomly took this over, here's an even more shameless copy from last year's thread with the rules:

    1. Don't sign up if you can't or won't follow through; to help avoid issues all Santas should have at least 50 posts on the forum, or an established (long time) member to vouch for them.

    2. Signups are open now until the 16th of November, at which time everyone'll be matched up and wish lists will be sent out to their respective Santa. (This might be a little ambitious and can be extended if needed.)

    3. To make life easier for me, please fill in the form below when sending me your info. Keep in mind that the more options your Santa has, the better the chances of him or her finding a good deal in the time allotted.

    4. Value of your gift(s) should be in the $20-30 range - real value and not bloated OMG R@R3 L@@K bin pricing. If you want to be more generous that is perfectly fine as well.

    5. Gifts should be mailed by December 9 at the latest, but don't mail it too early either. If for some reason you won't be able to meet that time frame, please let me know as early as possible so that alternate plans can be made and nobody ends up with nothing but tears and empty dreams being haunted by Reala.

    6. Make sure your gift is sent with tracking. If at all possible, it's strongly suggested that you have Santa send your gift to a secure location (work, PO box, a neighbor that's home, or held at the PO); if tracking says it was delivered but your package was stolen off your porch, it's not Santa's problem.

    7. This is important and bears repeating: don't sign up if you won't follow through; you WILL be banned from future Secret Santas run by me, and I will contact mods about your behavior as well.

    8. The most important rule is to have fun!

Also, let me know if you don't want to shop for me since it won't exactly be secret.

Sign up sheet format for when you PM me your list -

    Forum Alias:
    Shipping Name/Address:
Condition (i.e. - complete, boxed, mint, loose, etc.):
    Wish List:
    Willing to ship internationally? (yes/no)
Sorry, no raffle this year! I am not patient or kind like xelement so follow these rules.
    Secret Santas:

    BubsyFan1
    Blades
    JCU
    WarmSignal
    Assault9
    cleeg
    TrekkiesUnite118
    matteus

Members in bold have submitted their lists.

A couple of these people did not confirm in the interest check thread, but I am assuming they're going to do it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I think I'm going to go ahead and encourage you to put non-gaming related items on your list as well, especially considering it is looking like a couple of people might have to ship internationally. If your name is not on the list and you want it to be, feel free to let me know and we can get you on there!

My only suggestion is, if possible, to keep Europeans with Europeans, North Americans with North Americans, etc.., just because shipping/time can be ridiculous. Last year was a bitch but either way I'm good even if I am sending to Russia or wherever.

Yeah, that was part of the reason I put 11/16 down as a tentative deadline because our ratio is 7:1 (unless I'm mistaken). I wanted to give a couple of the packages some extra time to travel overseas. I'm not positive that everyone on the list actually wants to be there, so I'm going to shoot a couple of people a PM to verify, and if someone wants to be taken off, I might reach out to some other people to try to make it easier to ship everything to their destinations.

I'm interested. I'll try to get a list together by the end of the week.

How is everyone's lists coming along? I contacted some people in the UK, but it looks like a couple of people will have to ship their package overseas.

Time snuck up on me. I'll have my list done by Monday. When are we matching?

    I'm fine with shipping overseas.

So the parameters are the same as last year? 20-30? I have you a list by night's end.

I know I sent this to you in the PM I just sent you JCU, but I thought I'd post it here too so everyone will know. I would like to make sure there are items on your list that top out in the $20-30 range, but you can also feel free to have some higher priced items on your list in case your Santa is feeling generous.
