    NES Sg-Propad 6 issue

So recently I bought a second hand Sg-Propad 6 at the behest of the forum but it has a bit of an issue. The start button won't work. However the "slow" button can be used in substitution but it scrolls through games way too fast

Any ideas on how to fix it?

When I got my SG Propad, certain buttons were super mushy and at least one of the buttons had to be pressed down really hard for it to register. Taking it apart, the rubber contacts had ripped. My guess would be the same thing as happened to you.
