Genesis Perlin & Pinpin - The Robin Tower (new game)

    Posted for LIZARDRIVE:

Perlin & Pinpin - The Robin Tower" is a game developed by LIZARDRIVE for your SEGA Genesis / Megadrive.

This game can be seen as a compilation of minigames with side quests on top.

You play as Prince Perlin, who is chasing the devilish Pinpin throughout the different floors of the Robin tower.
Pinpin has indeed kidnapped the yet to be named Princess.
The different levels will not respect notions of time & space, giving it a sort of Alice in Wonderland taste.

    No release date so far.

Thanks a lot Melf for helping me out!

Here is an already old video showing how our game looks:

(all our pixel art is made by Gunpog)

We intend to release a first demo this very week.
I hope you guys will like this first taste of the game, even if it features maths!

In any case, feel free to share your questions/thoughts/feedback on this thread.

So awesome! Offtopic: not sure if the community can absorb that many projects properly! I get some sense that, once released, most of the hype and attention somewhat vanishes, even when the games do actually deliver. I mean, shouldn't we be dissecting hidden secrets, codes, stragegy tips, etc etc etc for the many games released in the past 3-4 years ?

These games sit on shelves. (I exaggerate, but it's more right than wrong.)

We intend to pack as much content and secrets as possible for the few people who still care.
There will actually be an hidden minigame in this first demo.
I doubt everyone will find it. :-)

    Thank you!
We intend to do a little contest next year based on the hidden mini game.
Our means are very limited, but we'll see! ;-)

Our 1st demo was downloaded +200 times!
There may be higher figures around, but we are super happy of the support we received. Thank you!
We updated this demo with SGDK 1.51 (and tweaked a few things in the background): https://lizardrive.itch.io/perlin-an...he-robin-tower

Meanwhile, we are preparing the release of our 2nd episode, which you can get a glimpse in this short video:

Thanks again and feel free to ping me here or on twitter!

Do they f***. Both Xeno Crisis and Tanglewood have had more play time than any other Mega Drive cart (only superseded by some Mega CD and, ahem, SNES games) in recent months. Iím also thinking of starting Pier Solar again once I finish Final Fantasy III on SNES and Cosmic Fantasy 2 on PCE.

The game has a really nice graphic style. When I first played it I just sat down and scored 19/20 and thought that was the whole game. Its only after reading the comments here that I went back to it and figured things out and I'm glad I did, it was fun figuring things out.

Is there any reward for getting a high score on the pocket game? I got a decent score and don't see anything new happen afterwards.
