Glad to see good news about this project! Piko, can you post any track from Genesis version?

    The first stage doesn't count

    Thanks and Good Luck!

Interesting backstory. Really cool you're also offering an improved SNES version!
    Good luck!

This looks really cool! Definitely looking forward to the release. I'm curious, though. With Turbografx CD and Amiga 32CD versions being released, was there any thought to making a Sega CD version of the game?

As for Sega CD, well those are either Re-releases or conversion (not native ports) so a Sega CD version with improvements would have to be a native port I think, and it would be a lot of trouble. And we have never done a Sega CD project, which we would have limited customer base to make up for the the minimum quantities to do it right, and it could probably complicate and delay the whole project.

    May be in the future.

If a Mega CD version of Jim Power is ever considered, one good thing would be attempting to recreate the top view Mode 7 levels from the SNES version, since those can be easily handled by the Mega CD hardware. Other than that, I suppose it would be the Mega Drive version with the PC Engine CD version soundtrack.

I would have loved to see the NES version also running on the Master System, but I'm happy we are finally having the fully finished Mega Drive version anyway.

    Backed!

Would be cool if the MD version came with the PCE-CD soundtrack on a disc like Pier Solar but realistically I can see an MD+ version happening instead.

SMS is limited in some ways (and expanded in others), straight ports aren't possible.

Mode 7 effects are tough to pull off on Sega/Mega-CD. You'd probably end up with 25% of the framerate, which would hurt gameplay in the overhead stages pretty bad.

I would back a decent SMS version of Jim Power.

All the OST will be the same, so they will all have the PCE-CD music, and then some other tracks mostly Genesis and NES.

The Amiga version looks gorgeous. Make sure to post this to online communities that specifically like SNES/Amiga/etc. You are getting pretty close to the funding goal.

Piko guy, make a goal for a Mega SD version “md+”.

Not what I meant but that answered another question of mine. I mean it would be cool to be able to play the MD version with the PCE-CD music either by utilising the Mega-CD like how Pier Solar did or by making a MD+ version for use on the Mega SD.
