    These are, hands down, the best recordings of Mega Drive games I've ever heard. Even better than Official Dustin on YouTube.

    the audio is not recorded from air on your smartphone, right? It recorded from your Aiwa?
    My MD is conected to a simple Lepai LP-2020A+ amp which is driving late 80s 3-way Pioneer speakers wich were probably budget to mid-range ones back then (recycled from a HiFi system). Sound is great but it doesn't sound like yours, I'm not sure why but it's probably on my side.

    That should explain why it doesn't sound like the originals when played through hifi. Your smartphone mic picks the ambient sound and mixes everything together. I guess we could say you remixed some MD tunes, he.
