Default 8bitDo Genesis/Mega Drive Retro Receiver (Master System Related)

I'm late to the party, Just got this on ebay for $14, Love it

But, Master System Games that needs the SMS Controller, doesn't work with the Receiver

There's no way to get it in 2 Button Mode..Seems like the tester didn't test Games on SMS that uses the SMS Pad only

Well, it's made for the Genesis, not the Master System, so can't say I'm surprised. I'm willing to bet the Retrobit 6 button has the same issue. I wonder if it's even possible to put in a switch for that sort of thing.

segasonicfan made an adapter that solves this and does much more:

I got him to install a couple of these inside my SMS and Mark III and they work great.

They don't actually need to be installed though and are plug 'n play.

That's pretty sweet. Are there a lot of Master System games that require two button mode? Every one I've played so far has worked fine with the six button wireless controllers, but admittedly, most of those were with a Power Base Converter rather than an actual Master System. (Although both Asterix and Slap Shot definitely worked fine).
