I agree. 60fps mode is neat, but the racing gameplay doesn't feel as fast ironically as the orig 30fps. I prefer the 30fps for Outrun.

Yes after playing the Arcade version for so many years , the 60 Hz option didn't feel or look right and I never looked to use it .

All of these can be had for less than $100

Macross Do You Remember Love? - Easy to medium difficulty 2D side scroller, but fun. Nice cut scenes/voice overs, sound/music, and gameplay. Worth getting if you're a fan of the series.

Strikers 1945 I or II - Overhead 2D shooters reminiscent of Fireshark, but with your choice of different planes to choose from. Fun and challenging.

Mobile Suit Z Gundam 1 & 2 - Based off the series. Side scroll 2D hack 'n slash/shooting with you controlling an MS mech. Lots of cut scenes and voice overs. Also worth getting if you're a fan.

My recommendation for the best cheap shooter on the Saturn is Gunbird. Pretty nice game with colorful, charming graphics and a lot of options. I wanna say I only paid around $30 for it. Very cheap for a good Saturn shmup. If you wanna pay a bit more but still under $100 I'd also recommend Soukyugurentai and Darius Gaiden. Soukyugurentai is the best shmup I've played on the system and well worth it's price of around $70 in my opinion.
