I hope a few of you had a chance to play the WW hack. It’s really well done. The colors are a lot nicer on the actual Genesis/MD than what I thought from just the screenshots. Besides a couple minor things, I think most people will be pretty impressed with the result. Thanks for showing us WW style Hiryu.

Well there are those pcbs that can be flashed over and over again, I don't recall the name right now.. But I'm not sure if they'll support the 40M romsize of SSF2.
could always get an Everdrive (that supports 40M) and set it to autoload the rom (i've read somewhere that that can be done) and then just put it in an SSF2 shell.

Question to Lord Hiryu: have you considered making sky in Deejay's stage a bit less colorful?

That is a good suggestion actually, if the colors are there, of course.

Excellent job, as usual. I especially like the curtains in Dhalsim's stage and the sky in Blanka's. The car bonus stage is gorgeous.
One note about Chun Li's stage. Aren't the colors of the window on the right inverted? (the dark greens where the light greens should be?)

Yes, I'm talking about SF2HCE
What I mean is that the edges of the window that seem to be brightest in the PCE version (and in the arcade, too) use the darkest green shades in your hack.

Yes, I recently fix that, and also I did make the chicken darker.

Where do we get these later revisions? The one on the rhacking site is from July (of 2021).

Hiryu's hack is brilliant - way better than original. But i think some stages are a bit to bright. I know it's made that way to mimic arcade palette, but i think that Mega Drive is better in showing strong, dark colors.

I've made a color hack, that makes some stages to look more like in original SSF2 on MD:









It's obviously less like arcade version.
