Worsen the sad state of this thread any longer and I might produce a single tear in my eye with each visit.

We've got a beat em up that has a tiny chance of paralleling SOR2 and even SOR3 (Come at me.),
one with inconsistent graphics pandering to the stereotypical pink and baby blue neon post 20th century "retrostalgia" design,
gameplay akin to the first Sonic Blastman released on SNES and likely to reduce the lifespan of your console.

Sounds great so far! At least the music seems promising, I like the Paprium music sampler by Groovemaster and Jredd.
Here it is for anyone who hasn't heard it yet: https://soundcloud.com/groovemaster3...ler-feat-jredd

I hope Paprium will be better than Sonic Blastman. Music and graphics are quite amazing, well above average, 2 main things we definitively know. Art direction & aesthetic design won't fit everyone for sure but the work done so far is incredible imho.
Gameplay mechanics & equilibrium will make Paprium a good game. Or a bad one. It would be a shame if all that great artistic creation & high level quality of technicity were wasted by a mediocre gameplay.
Fonzie is a perfectionist, so we could expect at least an acceptable level of gameplay. And Luis did an awesome job. The collaboration between them was successful. Besides they knew what an arcade Beat'em up was, mastering a large knowledge of already published titles during the 90's era.
The very unknown thing is the QA team work...

I think we'll have a good game in the end too, I also like the look of things. I just hope that we'll have no more voltage related shennanigans on the cart side of things.

Can't believe it's been almost a year since I pre-ordered, and there's still no firm production date. Glad I've had things to keep me busy this whole time!

I still can't even order the bloody thing. I just want to spend some dollars on a limited boxed copy that may or may not ruin my console. Hopefully when they bring it back online, it's still available.

At this point I would not pre order anything from them until actual copies have already shipped

Wasn't there a long wait before Pier Solar got a second run?

It's funny how not funny this is. An actual release date, or even mention of a realistic shred of physical evidence of this game's existence would do wonders for WM's reputation. Seeing Tanglewood, Xenocrisis and anything by Studio Vatea make real progress just makes this entire experience that much more frustrating. I wonder if we'll be playing Tanglewood/Xeno Crisis before Paprium at this point. I seriously wouldn't be surprised.
