I really hope that the sprites aren't going to tank this game so early on. I really do want people to get their hands on this game, regardless of how nonsensical and long-winded the development of it was. I think it was really shortsighted of Fonzie to put this content on the cart, but hopefully it won't affect the rest of the pre-orders. If it tanks future sales, I would still be disappointed. Maybe WM can manage to fulfill the existing orders and do a cart repair/update via MegaWire.

Sorry, but 'packing' is just code for 'we're waiting to people to spend $170 on the game, so that we can actually fill the rest of the old orders'.. kinda thing. It's pretty obvious at this point. But given overall positive exposure it has gotten, that'll probably happen. Assuming he makes good on that and actually uses the money to ship out the remaining first orders.

Can we at least try to wait until the people who've yet to receive their stuff actually get their games before we get a cease & desist served, which would definitely keep those folks - myself included - from getting the items they paid for?

Going back to the dumping side of things here, let's not forget lockdown: There are more people with extra time on their hands who need something to do... Also, there is the intent; I'm willing to bet that there are some people who would just love to get this up and running on alternative hardware.

The big dream for me would be getting the Mega SD running this, once it could there could be a lot of improvement hacking to tighten up thd gameplay.

I wonder, if there does end up being some kind of C&D and he has to make alterations, and that ends up as a patch for the MegaWire thing, would you download it? Even if that patch improved gameplay as well?

The villagers and their pitchforks will end up stabbing the wrong target.

People, letís postpone this campaign to grass Fonzie up to Sega until EVERYONE has received their pre-order. Letís have some community spirit, please.

Well, Iím finally coming round to the realisation that despite getting the order confirmation emails and this thing showing as Ďshipping...í since 14th December or whatever, itís never likely to arrive.

The theory about new orders paying for the remaining pre-orders was bad enough, but itís pretty much guaranteed Sega will come down like a ton of bricks on this given the recent revelations.

Lol, to think I actually thought I might really receive this after all those years. Back to writing off that $80 I guess.

Assuming this will ever happen. Considering how everything has been handled until now, I'd be surprised if everyone received what they paid for.

    Hello mate,
I see you are also in the UK, and received your game on 22/01 - can you tell me where it was being shipped from (Las Vegas or elsewhere?), if you ever got a tracking number sent, or did it ever update from 'Shipping...' on the order page.
Also, what version of the game did you order?

Would be useful to know the above, to see where received games are being sent from, and which versions are being sent might show what stock they have (had).

    Thanks,
    Paul

    I wish I hadn't mind!

Here's a question: Given that all ROMs get dumped some time, how likely is it that this would be playable with an FPGA device in the future? Also, think of the improvement hacks that could be made.

Would be nice to have (again) a dedicated topic for this, since itīs almost impossible to keep track of this kind of information on a (soon to be) 160+ pages topic.

Also, the topic about hardware revisions was very interesting, now Iīve got also a Genesis II, with the smaller board, but the brazilian version does not seem to match the rest of the world versions

Why bother? The mod who merged those threads did not seem sorry and may just do it again.

Pretty sure SEGA will be taking legal action against Fonzie & WaterMelon Games by the response I got back from SEGA when I emailed them a few days ago.

Hah, the die has been cast. I hope you guys get your game before Sega does anything.
Both Sega and Fonzie are slow as hell. It's like a snail race. We'll see who makes their move first.

You looking for a pat on the head or something? I'm not so sure bragging that you potentially pissed in the Cheerios of numerous members of this forum is going to get you the reaction you seem to be hoping for.

What an odd thing for fonzie to do, rip off sega's sprites directly. I get it's for an homage but still, you can't really do that so blatantly.
