Can someone else make a game and run off with the funds for 10 years so we can talk about it?

I have been checking on these forums far more than I have spent time playing my copy, after receiving it.

I was hoping someone would ask that. I've got this great idea for a platform game on the Mega Drive, it's going to be similar to High Seas Havoc except a lot faster. There will be lots of underwater levels because I know those are everybody's favorite. I cannot talk too much about technical specifics just yet but I plan to include a 128 GB SSD in the cart to make sure there's room for DLC.

I'm still years away from being able to move a pixel but get your pre-orders in today so you won't miss out on a limited edition copy.

In all seriousness I want to make a game but I have no idea where to start. I certainly wouldn't make it too ambitious or ask people for money before it was finished. This fiasco makes the risk to reward ratio seem pretty poor.

Yep, that's what happens when a company releases a boring game.
Most of the hype for this thing was always just about the shitty communication and the long long wait.

I've been playing mine on and off over the last week and I find it's pretty good. Worth the wait? For me, yes because this is my favorite genre of games and any new content is welcome.

Had the game been better, the discussion would have remained more lively for a couple more weeks. Why do you think studios drip feed content with modern releases/platforms? It does a better job maintaining interest.

If Paprium had released within a reasonable time frame, it would be a distant memory to most by now.
