Shouldn't this be in the Genesis section, since you know... it's a Genesis game...
Other than that FUCK YEAH, I'm loving the artwork. Characters are looking pretty badass, except for the speedo twins, I could do without them. Otherwise though it's looking pretty sweet. Reminds me a bit of Comix Zone.

Yeah, it can be in the Genesis section.
MODS! Move the thread, please.
I love the speedo twins. Like Mona & Lisa of SoR, but the other way around.

Ai Cho Aniki comes to mind...
Speedo Twins are awesome!

LOL they are actually Turkish body builders, drenched in oil.....just like Turkish wrestling :P
I wholly agree with the others on the boards that the first two look ripped right out of Ninja Scroll. And I know I've seen that third pic (or one ridiculously similar - perhaps from Cho Aniki) before. I also don't see how any of these characters fit a cyber punk theme at all. To be honest, this is more than a tad weak...

Thank you for the encouragement for some! .......These will fit when you will see their background and story plot in the Cyber world... There are many characters that will be revealed later.
And for the reference on Ninja Scroll, well the only similarity is in the style, these characters are being conceptualised with a story background, and he’s dressed as an ancient Indian warrior/ King type. The anime influence and progression of my own artwork as also always been influenced by japanese anime.
have a look!

take care!
You worked on Chrono Ressurection? Awesome man, that game looked brilliant (well, what was released of it before Squeenix decided to be total asswipes)
Thank you ! : ) yes I was the co-creator with my friend Nathan : )
*Sees Chrono Resurrection concept art work and weeps bitter man tears*
Keep up the good work! Looks great, I like the fact the characters don't instantly seem like there 'cyber punk' themed, its like focus grouping rock'n'roll down to its constituent parts, until you reach the point that you've forgotten what makes great music in the first place. You have to juxtapose, contradict and mix styles to make something fresh otherwise whatever you make will seem trite.
I think anime style character art is ideal for the Genesis' four 15 color palettes really. As long as it has good animation and fighting that at least attempts to reach Streets of Rage quality I would be happy with a tele tubby Beat-em Up though. Also, I played Last Battle all the way through because I loved the Fist of the North Star characters even before I knew about the movie. I don't think anyone can go wrong there with a post "apocalyptic" (misused term, cataclysm people) game.
I am playing Rage right now and am so far disappointed by the wild west themed good guys coupled with the street urchin/zombie/gang/thugs I have to shoot. For a scenario that is supposed to have infinite possibilities we sure seem to be limited in imagination.![]()

^This.
Sorry guys, I am just assuming that since nobody has ever made a better beat-em up than Streets of Rage 2 there must have been magical fairies running off hours at Sega during its development.
