Puyo Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool

Cheeto's mascot made two appearances on the Genesis. While not the deepest platformer, the first game isn't necessarily bad. It just doesn't go out of its way to do anymore than one would expect from a licensed product. It's short and unpolished, but perhaps there's some worth here for the curious. Read our full review for more details.

Very on-target review. Oddly enough I was just mulling this game over, having forgotten that Phantar was going to be reviewing it, and thinking of what I would write about it -- and a lot of what he wrote is similar to what I was thinking!

It's kind of a 4.5/10 game, so rounding it up to 5 works for me. There are much worse 16-bit platformers -- at least this one's fundamentally playable, which is more than I can say for a lot of them.

Nice review! I have a little nostalgia for the game, both me and my nephew have rented it back in the day. I don't really play it anymore, but I'm glad to own a complete copy
