Default Herzog Zwei unused turret editor

There are a couple gun turrets in Herzog Zwei that were deleted from the final release of the game. This editor gives you access to them, and lets you edit their stats.

    Here's a link to the download: https://gamehacking.org/vb/forum/vid...829#post213829

I'll upload it to my site shortly if you want to get it from there instead (I think you have to be registered at GH to download files from there).

Probably because the game would get overwhelmed when your main base had a bunch of Jolly Rodgers and turrets throwing massive volleys of bullets and rockets.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

The developers are the only ones that know for sure, but my guess is that the two turrets were never finished to a point where they could be tested in the game. All of their stats were set to zero, and they didn't have any A.I. Even after I added some stats, the turrets wouldn't do anything when dropped next to enemies. The editor makes them use the same AI as the GMR-34A Cannon. In the ROM, the turrets were named "NOT USE".

Also, there was another unused unit in the ROM named KIDOU. Unlike the two turrets, it has stats and possibly some AI, but just garbled graphics.

Since the unused turrets didn't have any stats (were all zero) when the game was released, that makes it hard to know what values to use with the editor. I updated the editor and added some preset buttons to the editor that will show what some of the other units use for their stats which will make it much easier to get a balanced game when using the new turrets. Can still make any adjustments you want after you click on any of the presets. Also added a help button for the presets.

It is also on RHDN, but they haven't approved the updated version yet.

EDIT: Has been updated on RHDN: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1590/
