Default A new softmod for the PSOne has been discovered.

Always interesting to see such efforts for old consoles. Seems like the key to unlock the PSOne always slumberered within Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. No modchip necessary.

    This is great news.

I'm glad I bought a modded PSOne last year.

Wow that's almost identical to the OG Xbox hack (I think that used Splinter Cell or MechAssault.) It was like magic watching that work as a kid

    This is pretty cool!

I wonder if something similar could be done with the Saturn?

I thought I had already seen this last year, but that was the PS2. Now PS1 has a softmod too.

Well the saturn doesn't use memory cards like the PsOne, but there is the Pseudo Saturn Kai approach where you flash an Action Replay Cart. That is kind of similar, and when you use the cart you don't need to load an original game first, so it's a bit more comfortable to use even.

I've had sealed SATURN GS that
I can pre-flash and send along with
the software on a cd-r for years in the
    bazzar....
    And mentioned this MOD on
    THE COMPLETELY RANDOM
    THREAD when it was released.
    But yeah, this is incredible....
