Genesis Jim Power: The Lost Dimension

Once slated for a Genesis release, Jim Power: The Lost Dimension was canceled and cast into limbo. It remained there for two decades, until Piko Interactive rescued it from oblivion. Was it worth the wait? Well, yes and no. Read our full review to find out more.

The reviews are a bit hard to read, one giant text block and then small pictures. How about interspersing the pics at relevant parts, and making them enlarge to a pop-in when clicked?

Seems like once you neuter the game of its gee-whiz 3D gimmick by taking out the scaling and rotation of the original, there's nothing left of note about the game. Too bad they scrapped the bonus stages, not that they were amazing or anything, but the overhead mazes could have been done without the rotation just fine. I guess Piko just aimed to do the minimum to get the game "complete" as it were, which is understandable for a small publisher but still a disappointing to see.

Anyone play this and the SNES with 3D glasses to see how it compares? I'm curious if the effect is made better or worse due to the more limited palette.
