Not even more powerful. Just a nicer screen. Eh no reason to upgrade.

Life!? ... What console is that on?

I'm officially on my second Switch as the launch console recently started acting up which gave me a good enough reason of purchasing an A.C. console. The new OLED version is not compelling enough to me, someone who doesn't use the hand held mode of Switch. If it offered better performance, sure but that's neither here nor there.

I just got my Switch in January and I’ve only used it in portable mode twice. It wouldn’t shock me to see the Switch Pro come out next year, unless Nintendo has 20 million Tegra X1 chips in stock.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

Another smart move by Nintendo, this is just like when they released the backlit GBA. Same system, but the games look a lot better. Anyway for people who don't want to buy the new version just wait a few months for OLED screen replacements to pop up on eBay, swapping screens on a Switch is not particularly difficult.
