Sonic 3D - Soundtrack Battle: GEN/MD vs. Sega Saturn!

Sonic 3D has two different soundtracks. One for the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis, and one for the Sega Saturn/PC.

Question is, which one do you prefer?

I owned the Genesis version as a kid: Hated the game, loved the music. One of the few things I regretted selling.

The Saturn version really is so atmospheric that it's hard to find it out of place when exploring stages; Especially Rusty Ruins and Diamond Dust... wow.

But of course I discovered the Director's Cut of the Genesis version and couldn't help myself, hahaha:

Worth owning again just to hear that Title theme and Panic Puppet Zone on Genesis hardware... also that the game is really quite perfect. (Saturn still owns the best special stage though!)

Saturn by far.

Rusty Ruin is still one of my favorite Sonic tracks.

Sega Saturn all the way, love that cheesy 90s piano house music from Richard Jacques.

But I actually think the Genesis 3D Blast soundtrack is just as memorable as any other Genesis soundtrack. Love the special stage theme.
