    I'd love to see that.

Among all other things, code licensing issues may prevent the Hexen port from ever happening: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topi...omment=2429409

After version 1.5 i believe this is the best console DOOM port of the 90's. Yeah, i think it's even better than the PS1 version (i was never a huge fan of that port anyway).

This really makes Me wonder what else this machine could handle. AVP perhaps?

Does any of the game logic run on the SH-2’s, or just the graphics rendering?

If you meant Atari Jaguar's AvP, for sure. Doom is far more complex than that on many aspects.
The transparent HUD and the coloring would be a pain though.

All of the game logic (including a closer-to-the-PC-version of the sound propagation algorithm when compared to the Jaguar version and, to my account, when compared to the PS1 version as well), all of the graphics rendering (including the HUD and weapon graphics) and the software mixing of the sfx to provide 8 channels with full panning and envelope control run on the SH2s.

The Mega Drive side handles the music, the input reading and the network link code.

Welp. That rules out SH-2 overclock compatibility.

Is it even possible to overclock a 32X? I think the games will crash because it's supposed to get the clock signal from the MD side to stay in sync.

Maybe it can be done via emulation, I would be amazed if that works on real hardware. I guess you would have to overclock the MD too...

Went ahead and created a playlist for this improved, much needed Soundtrack. (Composed by Spoony Bard)

Bleh, for some reason, 2.0 doesn't want to play ball with CD audio, but older versions still work. Weird.
    - Where it's always 1995 (or so).

Please, which system/emulator you're running it on?
If you give a bit more info, I can try to reproduce it.

As long as it didn't run as slow as the Jaguar version, which was a PowerPoint slideshow, I'd love to play it.
