I always wondered who designed and created them. They look great.

I thought Melf drew and animated them himself, pixel by pixel!
I believe they're all done by The Coop.

Thanks.
I haven't seen animations like that in other forums I've visited. They look great. It feels like I'm walking into an arcade during the late 80s early 90s.
He did a great job. Hope he is doing alright, since it seems that he hasn't been on the forum in a few months. Always thought that was the sad part of internet forums, people will be around for some time then drop off the face of the earth. Hard to believe the forums have been around for 15+ years now...
I'm still alive... for the most part, I think.
But yeah, I did the lion's share of them (over 100). Joe did a couple (as Melf mentioned, Snatcher and John Madden), I helped with Txai's Ecco one (Ecco's animation was backward and the frame delay was too fast), I redid sheath's idea for the Shadow Dancer one (he just couldn't get it to work, so I recreated it and added some bits of my own), the X-Men one that djshok tried to make (same situation as shealth's) and the Pulseman one Lync did (again, same reasons), and I redid the Mario/Sonic one after Guntz posted his original version (he'd never really done animations before, which resulted in it looking kind of rough in terms of animation, movement and whatnot... so I recreated it, added some touches of my own and extra bits, etc.).
That said, glad to see people are still enjoying them, and thanks for the compliments![]()
